Solarpunk asks us to rehearse futures that are both possible and worth wanting.
Between ecological crisis and technological acceleration, imagination is not decoration. It is infrastructure: a way of deciding which systems we refuse and which relationships we choose to cultivate.
Practising a liveable future
Solarpunk stories do not promise a frictionless paradise. They ask what repair, mutual aid and shared abundance might look like when they become ordinary.
A beautiful future is not automatically a gentle one.
